AI aggregator or separate subscriptions?

Compare your monthly AI budget with the calculator below, then check the features and limits you need. A Colay plan can replace some subscriptions; tools you keep still belong in the total.

AI subscription cost calculator

Compare your current budget with a Colay plan plus the tools you will keep. Enter every amount in the same currency per month. No registration is needed for this calculation.

Divide annual payments by 12. Include taxes and fees in your inputs. Additional spending is your estimate after checking usage limits. Changing currency clears the entered amounts; it does not convert them.

Enter your current spending to see the comparison.

Calculation: current spending − (Colay + retained subscriptions + additional spending). The difference can be negative. Check credit capacity and feature compatibility separately. Colay public plan data checked on 6 October 2026

When an aggregator is useful

An aggregator can suit you when you regularly move between different models or want more than one perspective on the same task. A shared interface reduces the setup needed to switch approaches and makes the surrounding workflow part of the decision.

In Colay, for example, you can choose one agent, let Auto route a request, inspect separate answers, or ask Consensus for a combined conclusion. If comparing models is part of your daily work, try that entire process rather than judging only a single response.

When a provider subscription may still matter

A provider’s own application can include tools, interfaces, or account benefits that are not available through an aggregator. Model access alone does not establish feature equivalence. List any specific feature you depend on and verify it in the service where you plan to use it.

You may also use one provider so consistently that its own app fits your routine. An aggregator and a provider subscription can coexist if each has a clear role. There is no need to replace a working tool solely to reduce the number of apps.

Compare the whole cost

  • Use the same representative tasks and the models you actually intend to use.
  • Record both usable results and actual usage, including retries and multi-agent discussions.
  • Check billing period, currency, allowance, and applicable limits for every plan.
  • Include subscriptions you would still need for provider-specific features.

Make a decision you can revisit

Write down what you expect to replace and what you need to keep. Test that arrangement on ordinary work for a short period, then compare the results with your expectations. Look at time spent editing and switching tools alongside the subscription bill.

For Colay, start with the current catalog and pricing. Its subscriptions use credits and limits; they do not include separate paid accounts in provider applications or unlimited access to every model.

Questions, answered

Will an aggregator always cost less?

No. Total cost depends on your usage, the models and capabilities you need, and any other subscriptions you keep. Compare a realistic set of tasks and the current terms of each plan.
