Understand your credits and limits
Colay subscriptions include a credit allowance. Credits measure usage within Colay, and the amount consumed can vary by model and workflow. Use your account’s billing information to understand your actual usage.
A credit is not a universal message count
Models in the Colay catalog can have different interaction weights. A response from one model can therefore use a different number of credits from a response by another. Additional capabilities can also carry credit charges, so a single message count is not enough to estimate every workflow.
For a practical estimate, run a representative task with the model and capabilities you intend to use. Inspect the recorded credit usage, then repeat with a few tasks of the same kind. This gives you a more useful basis for choosing a plan than comparing allowances alone.
Several agents can mean several charges
Ask separately requests answers from selected agents. Consensus involves contributions from several agents and a coordinating response. These workflows do more work than one direct-agent response, so include their combined usage when planning your allowance.
Choose the number of participants to suit the task. A focused question may need only one agent; comparing approaches or testing assumptions can benefit from several. You can use different workflows for different parts of the same project.
What to check in your account
- Your active plan and the credit allowance associated with it.
- Recorded usage and the available balance or limit information.
- The reset date shown for your account, rather than an assumed calendar date.
- The billing period and currency shown before confirming a purchase.
If you reach a limit or have a billing question
Colay can show a pricing prompt when a request reaches a usage quota. Review your account and the available plans before making a purchase. Questions about a particular charge, renewal, cancellation, unused credits, or an interrupted request need the details of your account and the applicable terms.
Contact support with the approximate time, relevant conversation, and a short description. Support can investigate a specific situation; this guide does not replace the conditions attached to your plan.
Questions, answered
Can I divide my credits by one to predict the number of answers?
Not reliably. Model weights and multi-agent or additional capabilities affect usage. Use the recorded cost of tasks similar to yours as a practical reference.
Where should I check renewal and unused-credit rules?
Check the terms attached to your purchase and the billing information in your account. Ask support to clarify anything that is not stated for your plan.
